How to Resolve Orders with Insufficient Inventory in IDAConnect

Customers may occasionally receive an email from IDAConnect indicating that an order could not be processed or pushed to Shopify due to insufficient inventory levels for one or more product SKUs included in the order. This typically occurs when the available stock in your inventory management system does not meet the quantity required to create the order.


Step-by-Step Resolution

  1. Check the specific order with the issue in IDAConnect:
    • Go to the Orders List page, search for the problematic order, and open its details.

    • Inspect the line item SKUs included in the order in IDAConnect and verify their stock levels in Shopify.

    • In this case we, need to check the inventory of product with SKU = black-1 in Shopify. The black-1 SKU has 0 stock in this case that's why the order failed to process or create in Shopify

  2. Adjust the stock level in Shopify:
    • Update the inventory quantity for the SKU that has insufficient stock.

      Adjust the overall inventory to 1000

  1. Retry the order in IDAConnect
    • After adjust the inventory of the SKU we can now retry the Order with issue
    • Inside the order view page in IDAConnect, click the Retry Order button to push the order to Shopify.
