Inventory Level Errors in Hard to Find

Information for brands with Hard to Find connections.

At IDA Connect we have just become aware of a change to Hard to Find product configurations that might affect your inventory levels.

The change can result in errors with inventory levels in Hard to Find.

What does the problem look like?

Inventory levels are not being updated properly in Hard to Find, for a small number of products.  This seems to be mostly affecting newly created products.

What's causing the problem?

There is a new feature in product listings configurations in Hard to Find that enables or disables inventory management for the product.

New products - those that have been created in the past four weeks or so - may not have inventory management enabled by default.  This means that IDA Connect cannot send the correct information from your Shopify store to Hard to Find

IDA Connect cannot detect the Hard to Find inventory errors if the Hard to Find product configuration does not allow inventory management

How to check to see if you might be affected?

If you are using Hard to Find you should review all your products and make sure that inventory management is enabled/configured.

Any products that you enable during this process will have their inventory levels updated to the correct levels (same as your Shopify store) during your next IDA Connect sync cycle.

Prevent this Hard to Find problem in future

For new products listed in Hard to Find, check that inventory can be managed when you set them up. Then check that levels are as expected for the first few orders.

If you detect other problems with inventory updates in Hard to Find, please let us know.
